Peder Pedersen
Here is Peder Pedersen
Before films, Peder earned the local nickname “Mr. Splat” in Randers for ambitious, bloody home movies and for publishing the now-legendary cult horror fanzine Inferno.
He moved into professional filmmaking via storyboarding and makeup effects and has since directed countless commercials—including over 150 for LEGO—and related animated mini-movies and TV series for the toy brand.
He gained international fame for colorful, humorous music videos for Aqua (notably Barbie Girl) and has directed videos for artists such as The Raveonettes, Minds of 99, Powersolo, Julie Pavon, and Infernal, among others.
Peder has won an Epica Award and three Danish Music Awards for Best Music Video; his commercial work has been shortlisted at Cannes Lions, the New York Advertising Festival, the Danish Creative Circle, and more.
He’s also directed several award-winning shorts, and his debut feature, the supernatural horror Englebørn (Lost Angels), premiered in 2025.
Alongside directing, he works as editor and co-producer on films by Viggo Mortensen.
