Lea Hjort
Here is Lea Hjort.
Lea is a Copenhagen-based director and screenwriter who blends cinematic precision with emotional truth.
A National Film School graduate with documentary roots, her character-driven work is intimate, contemporary and assured. She moves easily between family life, youth culture, art and socially conscious stories, guided by curiosity, care and a strong visual instinct.
Raised between Denmark and California and a former Fulbright Scholar, Lea brings a global sensibility from years leading international productions—from filming Ban Ki‑moon at the UN to directing Miley Cyrus, working with Al Gore on a climate project, leading a crew at Kennedy Space Center, and serving as Director of Photography for the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.
Her work is defined by sharp visual instinct, emotional clarity and an innate sense of rhythm. Lea is currently developing a feature-length documentary with Monolit Film.
