Jesper Dalgaard
Here is Jesper Dalgaard.
Jesper is a writer-director from way up north in Jutland — part storyteller, part visual genius. A 2017 graduate of the National Danish Film School in Copenhagen, he quickly made a name as a documentary director extraordinaire with a knack for striking, cinematic imagery.
His films have played at SXSW, Rotterdam, Göteborg, Nordisk Panorama and OFF, where Übermensch took home Best Danish Short. He scored back-to-back Special Mentions at Sheffield Doc/Fest, and his film Weltschmerz won a Robert (Danish Academy Award) in 2018 for best short doc.
His debut feature, Kandis For Livet, earned a Robert in 2022 for best cinematography and picked up a talent prize at the Bodil Awards.
His latest film Mommy's Boys was released in cinemas late 2025 to massive critical acclaim.
His new feature, Divine, is currently in development — more visual magic incoming.
